He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Dixon Clay; his children, Bill Clay, John Clay, Linda Baker and Toni Russell; his stepchildren, Pam McAnelly, John Smith and Scott Smith; his grandson Dalton Smith; and his siblings, Melba Gore and Wayne Clay. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
