He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Ronald Frederick Wilson; his wife Kaye Killingsworth Wilson of Little Rock, AR; his daughters, Lindsay Mattox (Trey) of Little Rock, AR and Kaily Colla (Michael) of Little Rock, AR; his grandchildren, Britton Mattox, Miller Kate Mattox, Evelyn Mattox, Grey Colla and Letti Colla; his mother Shirley Wilson of Clemson, SC; his siblings, Rhonda Hensley (Steve) of Central, SC, Patti Maffett (Lance) of Buford, SC and John Wilson (Carmen) of Dublin, GA.; his parents-in-law, Robert D. Killingsworth of Dublin and Emily Killingsworth; and also A. J. Wright. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
He began his career with Kimberly-Clarke Company and, inspired by his late father, Ronald Frederick Wilson, made significant contributions to the paper mill industry.
