He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Braswell and Lila Cleora Norton (Glasgow); his former wife Janie Winkles; and his wife Martha Ann Norton (Jones). He is survived by: his stepsons, Kevin Jones (Lori) of Little Rock, Alan Jones (Ellen) of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Chip Jones (Cynthia) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.. He is also survived by cousins and friends.

“I'm saddened to learn of Dick's death As kids, Dick and I were playmates in DeQueen. We were in the same room through the 5th grade, when my family moved, although we kept our friendship. Years later, when I was living in Little Rock, we resumed our friendship. Later, Dick married Martha Ann, a classmate of mine, and we socialized again. In recent years, almost every visit to central AR included a visit to/with Dick. A great guy and public servant has been losti Jerry Robbins”
