He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Woods and Murlene Woods Burns; and his stepfather Mack Burns. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his son Kyzer; his siblings, Floye Ann and Shelby; his niece Casey Woods Flores; and his nephews, Chance, Michael and Nick Tison.
He was also inducted into the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame along with his brother for outstanding contributions to the advertising industry.
