She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wayburn Sturgeon and Patricia Ann McClendon-Sturgeon; her brother Thomas Sturgeon; and her grandson Patrick Birchett. She is survived by: her husband Valentine; her children, Gary Birchett Jr. (Amber) and Autumn Leslie (Luke); her grandchildren, Lacy Birchett (Jonathon Burrell), Eli Birchett, Lily Birchett, Gary Birchett and Leeland Leslie; her great grandchild Athena Burrell; her sisters, Robin Andrews (Albert) and Terri Lynn Boozer (Nathan); and her cousins, Billy Deaver and Wayne Sturgeon. She is also survived by many extended family and friends.
