He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Henry Stuart and Loretta Stuart (Earley); his wife Rose Marie Luneau Stuart; and his sisters, Patricia Garner, Rosemarie Bartsch, Ann Hooper, Jean Gordon and Josepha Shannon.

He is survived by: his children, Loretta Stuart Quick, Thomas Stuart, David Stuart (Rhonda), Mary Stuart Lewis (Mark) and Christopher Stuart (Gail Ann). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
