He is survived by: his wife Virginia Nelson Brown; his siblings, John Garrett Brown and Anne Brown Helvenston; his sister-in-law Dorothy Brown (Dot); and his nieces and nephews, Susan Brown Norman of Houston, TX, Laura Ann Wolfe, Melissa Wolfe, Stephanie Brown Kyser, Ellen Helvenston Tolley, Plummerville, Garrett Shaw Brown and Nelson Wolfe.
