He is survived by: his wife Frances Bellingrath Pugh; his daughters, Virginia Pugh Hernandez and Mary Louise Manning; his children-in-law, Juan Luis and Van Mark; his grandchildren, Juan, Ana Hernandez, Van Jess Manning and Mary Catherine Contreras; his great grandchildren, Ana Gabriela, Oliver Dean and Benjamin Wilson; and his brother John Quincy Nash.
