D. of Little Rock, Arkansas, born in Camden, Arkansas, who passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Palmer Portis and Alice Waddell Portis; and his siblings, Aliece Portis Sawyer and Charles Portis. He is survived by: his wife Leah Latham Portis; his children, Charles J. Portis, Dr. Susan Portis Ferguson (Michael Ferguson) and Jane Portis; his stepsons, Palmer Aviles and Cameron Aviles (Samantha Burnside); his grandchildren, Laura Davis, Walter Ferguson, Cora Ferguson and Beckett Samuel Aviles; and his brother Jonathan W. Portis.
