He was predeceased by: his parents, Mikal Akbar and Fatimah K. Akbar Baird; and his nephew Shaheed Salih Akbar. He is survived by: his brothers, Anthony Akbar of San Diego, Akil Akbar (Rolanda) of Little Rock and Abdullah Akbar of Little Rock. He is also survived by uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
