She was predeceased by: her parents, Sue Elizabeth Hornor and James Tappan Hornor. She is survived by: her husband John Howze Jacobs; her children, Lisa Jacobs Moriconi, Joseph Moriconi, John Hornor Jacobs and Kendall Pickens Jacobs; her grandchildren, Julian Jacobs Burgess (Jake), Margaret Elizabeth Burgess (Maggie), Lillian Buckley Jacobs (Lily) and Freddie Jacobs; her sister Margaret Hornor Koone (Maggie); her friends, Stuart and Jim Cobb; and her caregiver Jackie Marie Clark.
