We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2023, at the age of 97, Mary Elizabeth Jacks of Little Rock, Arkansas, born in Carthage, Arkansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Elizabeth Jacks to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Crowder, Sr. and Dorothy V. Crowder; her husband Lee Kennon Jacks; her brother James W. Crowder; and her granddaughter Lauren Marie Darnell.

She is survived by: her daughter Glynda Darnell (Bob); her grandchildren, Robert Darnell, Jr. (Lindsi) and Kelly Darnell; and her great grandchildren, Bobby and Blake Darnell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arkansas Children's Hospital (Little Rock) can be made in Mary Jacks' name.

“I had the pleasure of working with Mary at the Arkansas Senate. I will miss talking to her, especially about recipes, board games, card games and getting her help when I got stuck trying to work a crossword puzzle. She had the biggest smile on her face when she was asked about her grandchildren! She adored her family! I always thought she would celebrate her 100th birthday on this earth because she took such good care of herself and others. The entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers.”
