She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Thompson Sr. and Benice Thompson (Williams); her sons, Larry Joe and Louchis Bealer; and her siblings, Joe Thompson, Leroy Thompson Jr. and Martha Fayola Thompson McBride.
She is survived by: her daughter Overseer Sherrill Newton (Bishop Raymond, Sr.); her siblings, Verlia Witt, Peggy Hinton, Shirley Thompson-Sanders, Effie Wilson (Gregory) and Barbara Beene (Larry); and her siblings-in-law, Mildred Bealer, Judy Thompson and Bhufus Bealer. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
