It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ludwig Beckman III of Little Rock, Arkansas, born in Weir, Mississippi, who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wives, Marjorie Ellen Stevenson of Lawton and Geneva Duke (Neva) of Lawton; his sisters, Carolyn Waltman and Dorthy Clegg (Dot); his wife Neva Beckman; and his son John Armstrong Beckman.
He is survived by: his sister Peggy Beckman Miller of Gaffney; his daughter-in-law Bamah Beckman of Oklahoma City; his stepchildren, Mike Duke (Valorie) and Nancy Moore of Little Rock, Arkansas.; and his grandchildren, Tabitha Beckman (Krithi) of Albany, Aubree Beckman of Oklahoma City, Major Steven Beckman Jr. (Britany) of Detroit, Major Sean Beckman (Kathryn) of Landstuhl and Erin Beckman (Matthew) of Garmisch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (2602 NW Ferris Ave, Lawton, OK 73505).
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Foundation, Lawton, Oklahoma, the John Armstrong Beckman Endowed Scholarship in Social Sciences at Cameron University, or a charity of their choice.
