He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Lilly; his aunt Ocylene; his uncle Doil Hamby; his grandparents, Othar and Etta Davis Burroughs; his parents-in-law, Edith Crane and James Crane; his nephew Jamie Crane; and his niece Amanda Crane.

He is survived by: his wife OraSu Hamby (Sara); his brother Bobby Hamby (Audrey); his brother-in-law Jim Crane; his sons, Chuck Hamby (Kelley), Rusty Hamby and Brice Nosal (Stoney); his grandchildren, Edie, Matthew Hamby, Tyler Hamby, Chloe and Molly Nosal; and his family, Sara, Edie, Chuck, Rusty, Tyler and Matthew. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
