He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Rail and Louise Kersey; his stepfather Raymond Kersey; and his brother Jim Rail. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Rail; his son Alan Rail (Dina); his grandsons, Noah, Joshua and Andrew; his brother Bill Rail (Maxine); his sister-in-law Avanell Rail (Jim); his former wife Nadine Rail; and his nieces and nephews, Sue Ellen Wilkerson (Danny), Kay Bradford Odum, Steve Rail (Debra) and Matt Rail (Lacey).
