She was predeceased by: her father Author Elliott Hill; and her husband Rance Curtis, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Steven Curtis (Tammie), Tammie Dearborn (Eric), Anthony Curtis (Stayce) and Elizabeth Martin (David). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
