We are sad to announce that on November 14, 2024, at the age of 100, Josie Marie Copeland of Little Rock, Arkansas, born in Alma, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. James A. Copeland; her parents, Jeff Harris and Willie Harris (McIlvain); and her grandson Dwayne Shelton. She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Williams of Plano, Jeannie Owens (Kermit) of Little Rock, Danny Copeland (Wanda) of Watauga, David "Bear" Copeland (Debbie) of Little Rock and Martha Thomas of Mabelvale, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Marilyn Ewing (Brad), Leslie Williams (Jon), Zane Copeland (Shannan) and James Thomas (Laura Brixie); and her great grandchildren, Spencer Ewing, Cole Ewing (Niki), Will Shelton, Allie Shelton, Alexia Thomas (Jeffery Samples) and Isabel Copeland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock, Arkansas; the First Baptist Church in Pencil Bluff, Arkansas; and the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home.
