He was predeceased by: his parents, John McLeod Murray and Juanita Brame Murray; his sisters, Margie Dean Skinner, Dorothy Murray, Ann Davis, Julia Stribling and Maxine Parker; his former wife Cooper Turner Murray; his granddaughter Taylor Murray; and his son-in-law Paul Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Robben Murray (Betsy) of Little Rock; and his children, Lisa Rice of Jackson, TN, Gena Mandle (Mike) of Jackson, TN, Christian Mahoney of Jackson, TN, Cooper D. Murray (Kristine) of Apex, NC and John M. Murray (Tripp). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
