He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Raymond and Lee Jane Harris (Russell); his brothers, George Harris and Tom Harris; and his pet Flash.
He is survived by: his sons, Jack Harris (Rebecca) of Roseville and John Harris of Fayetteville; his sisters, Nancy George of Blue Eye and Jan Harris Flores of Berryville; his parents-in-law, Janis Watson Alianak of Eureka Springs and Larry M. Watson of Bentonville; his brother-in-law Steve Watson (Athina Mason); and his pet Clyde Whaley Harris. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He served on the Arkansas Baptist Foundation Board of Directors.
