He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Hughes and Sadie Hughes; his sister Melva Grandon; and his grandson Billy Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Ruthie Crook Hughes; his siblings, Jewell, Dorothy, Cleo, Clara, Edna and Billy; his sons, Rick (Karen) of Texas and Gary (Maurice) of Mabelvale; and his grandchildren, Heather Morton, Amanda Weatherly, Derek Weikel and Wayne Hughes (Hollie). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
