It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Charles Rule III (Little Rock, Arkansas), who passed away on April 3, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Charles and Dora Rule; his son Adam Dolbey Rule; his sister Joan Rule Campbell; and his stepgrandson Chris Rima.
He is survived by: his child Chris; his former wives, Beth Dolbey Nyhus (Paul) and Renie P. Rule; his brother James B. Rule (Anna Cox); his sons, Herbert Charles Nichols Rule (Lisa) and James Christopher Rule (Laura); his daughter-in-law Beth Storm Rule; his stepchildren, Richard Warriner and Prentice McIntosh; and his stepgrandchildren, Camille Rule, Rebecca Bailey, Charles Rule, James Rule, Samuel Rule and Thomas Rule. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please give generously in his name to the organizations or local charities Herb has always championed: The Stewpot, Second Presbyterian Church Rule Music Endowment Fund and Lyon College.
