He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Rice and Ellen Rice Hesselbein; his former wife Ella Ree Tucker Rice; his stepfather Frank Alvin Hesselbein; his sister Joyce Jean Carmical Hines; his half-brother Rev. Paul Hesselbein; and his daughter Ruth Ellen Rice.
He is survived by: his son Harold L. Rice, Jr.; his wife Sandy of Little Rock; his daughter Cheryl A. Rice; his grandsons, Harold L. Rice, III (Trey) of Little Rock and Matthew J. Rice (Caryn) of Magnolia, TX; and his great grandchildren, Ella Beth Rice and Tucker Hale Rice of Magnolia, TX..
