She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeptha Oliver Newton (Obb) and Madrid Tucker Newton; her husband Walter Lewis Wells; her sister Carol Newton Brown; and her daughter-in-law Deborah Cordova Wells.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Lewis Wells of Little Rock and Karin Wells Smith (Mike Smith) of Nashville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Taylor, Sara Smith of Nashville, Audra and Alex Wells of Little Rock, Arkansas; and her brothers, Tom Newton of Houston, Texas, Wood Newton (Gloria Newton) of Nashville, Tennessee and Keith Newton of Little Rock, Arkansas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
