Eula Laurette (Roddy) Redic Obituary

Eula Laurette "Laura" Redic passed away on April 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence Roddy and LaVerne Roddy, husband John Redic, and sisters Betty Dickerson (Robert) and Elizabeth Singleton (James).

She is survived by her daughter Jackie Redic, brother Robert Sims, sister Gladys Sims, and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Laura loved God and was a longtime member of Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church. And in addition to being a beautiful spirit with a great sense of humor, she was also a very passionate and dedicated nurse and educator.

Her thirst for knowledge and love of research prompted her to pursue and earn multiple degrees in her field, including a PhD.

Private services will be held at a later date. And in lieu of flowers, cards and other memorial contributions to the family and/or the Salvation Army are welcome.

And during those 53 years, we laughed a lot, and we said "I love you" a lot, and meant it, which is more than some children can say. I'm going to hurt for a long time now that you're gone. But I see you in the mirror every day. As you often said, I'm truly your "seed." And memories of you and your features and mannerisms that I (proudly) inherited are going to help me make it.
