He is survived by: his children, Felisha Thomas, Trakia Thomas, Briana Truddle (Stephon), Eric Bernard Thomas Jr., Shakir Thomas and Malik Thomas; his grandchildren, Darriell Banks Sr., Hakeem Bowens, Javon Thomas, Jeremiah Coleman, Gianna Truddle, Makayla Thomas, Ja'nya Barrett and Jayla Barrett; his siblings, Lois Norvell, Mildred Thomas, Willie Weaver and Billie Joe Thomas; his nephews, Gregory Williams and Frederick Burgess; and his cousins, Lawrence Willis and Shirley Willis-Hite. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
