It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Garner Matthews of Little Rock, Arkansas, born in Old Joe, Arkansas, who passed away on October 23, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Matthews and Willie Garner Matthews; and his siblings, Billy Joe Matthews, Stephen A. Matthews and Mauzel Beal.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hunter Matthews of Arkadelphia; his sons, Mark (Marsha) of Washington, DC and Kevin (Lisa) of Arlington, VA; his grandsons, W. Hunter Matthews of Chicago and James Matthews of New York City; his sister Betty Jane Perryman of Pine Bluff; and his sons, Swahili and Ed. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
The Church asks all attendees to wear masks.
