He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Murphy Hughes, Sr. and Ada Griggs; and his sister Myrne. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his daughters, Karen Bailey (Noel) and Laura Smith (Mark); and his grandchildren, Mathew Butler (Kristin), Savanna Lockridge and Cara Beth Lockridge.
