She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Rye and Thelma Hampton Rye; her sister Jo Ann Rye Jones; and her son Todd Steven Edwards. She is survived by: her brother Joel Lee Rye; her children, Connie Edwards Fortenberry and John Gary Edwards (Charla); her daughter-in-law Mattie Edwards Fagan; and her grandchildren, Jason (Leslie), Spencer, Alaina (Zach), Carla (Robert), John Gary, Jr. (Brandy), Todd, Jr., Tiffany, Taylor (Paula), Luke, Logan, Baylee, Drake, Maci, Maddie, Connor, Jax and Declan.
Memorials may be made to the Hedden Chapel Cemetery.
