He was predeceased by: his parents, T. W. "Tommy" Merritt and Louise Merritt of Camden, AR.. He is survived by: his children, Brian, Brooke (Josiah Cobb), Brandon (Kayla Jones), Blair (Kevin Small), Blake (Zac Armstrong), Brett (Steven Ray) and Kay Lynn Merritt of Roland, AR.; his brother T. David Merritt of Hot Springs; his niece Kim (Brent Hobby); his nephew Thomas (Lesley); his aunt Virginia (Jerry McNeely); his cousin Dean McNeely of Houston, Texas; and his uncle Ron Gaddy (Nina) of Germantown, TN.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and the mother.
