He was predeceased by: his daughter Latrice Lipsie; his parents, Jesse Lipsie and Ola Franklin; and his siblings, Carolyn Brown, Robert Brown and Eddie Nelson.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Lipsie, Jr. (Sharnettra), Daniel Nelson (Stacey) and Kevin Lipsie; and his siblings, Kenneth Brown (Renae), Mary Robinson, Sharon Marlow (Charles) and Gaylon Morgan (Leander). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
