He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Townsend and James Townsend, Jr.; his grandparents, Juanita "Mamanita" Rogers and James Rogers (Spears); his brother-in-law Rudy Granier; and also Trudy.

He is survived by: his daughter Danielle Townsend of Tunnel Hill; and his siblings, Juanita "Nita" Granier of Magazine and James Townsend (Linda) of Fort Smith.
