He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frank "J. F." and Jewel Athalene Cheatham (Clark); and his sister Joy Athalene Batson. He is survived by: his wife Anna Cheatham; his children, Dean Neal Cheatham (Misty) and Karen Lipford (Keith); his grandchildren, Derek, Hudson, Kate Cheatham, Garret Lipford (Brittany), Caleb and Allee Lipford; his great grandchild John Payton Lipford; his brother Jody Clark Cheatham (Darlene); his brothers-in-law, Dale Batson and Edwin Roy (Janet); and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Rawls (Caleb), Brad Cheatham (Jennifer), Tara Abshier (Patrick), Craig Roy (Sheryl), Brian Roy and Megan Luttrell (Chris). He is also survived by his family, including his siblings and his nieces and nephews.
