He was predeceased by: his son Mark; and also, Baby Lumberjack and Dixie Buie. He is survived by: his wife Belinda Smith Buie; his children, Zack of Lexa and Aliesha Buie Immel (Brandon) of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Mark Buie, Jr., Buie Knife, William Buster Slade Buie, Landon Dewayne Immel, Peyton Buie Immel, John Drew Buie, Delta Grayce Buie and Timber Dale Buie; his brother William Richard Buie (Virginia) of Marvell; his niece Courtney Buie; his brothers-in-law, David Wesley, Jimmy Troy Smith, George Smith and Daniel Smith; and his brother Kenneth Harman.
