He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Dafney and Mary Dafney; his son Eddie James Dafney; and his siblings, Dafney-Kitchens of Florida, Ellis Dafney, Howard Dafney, Joe Dafney, Aaron Dafney, Henry Dafney, Soffie Dafney-Briggs, Katie Dafney-Richerson, Susie Dafney-Anderson and Mattie Ree Dafney.
He is survived by: his wife Asie Dafney of Lewisville, Arkansas; his granddaughter Erica E. Dafney; his daughter-in-law Evelyn Dafney-Biddle of Lewisville, Arkansas; his siblings, Kathleen "Kitty" Dafney of Ontario, Erma Jean West of New Orleans, Lessie Dean Austin of Lewisville, Arkansas, Curtis Dafney of Monroe and Ozie Dafney of Texarkana, Arkansas; and his sisters-in-law, Dora Dafney Forte, Marzana Dafney, Lillie M. Dafney and Ida Warren Dafney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
