With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cotis Lee Cox Sr. (Lewisville, Arkansas), who passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Cotis departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Cotis. Though Cotis may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Cox and Pearl Allen Cox; and his wife Ella Cox. He is survived by: his children, JoAnna Idanele of Denton, Denise Eley of Fort, Yolanda Cox of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Cotis Cox, Jr. and Derrick Cox; his sisters, Gertrude Tatum of Texarkana and Jewel McCoun of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his aunt Mattie Elizabeth Hubbard of California. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Union Hill Baptist Church. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at the Boyd Hill Cemetery.
