He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Markle and Ethel Milissa Markle (Waggoner); his wife Virginia Markle (DeWeese); his siblings, Hallie Markle of Bert Markle, E. G, L. D. Markle, John Markle, Coyita Richardson, Lessie Powell, Delpha Hensley and Vernie Stonecipher; and his daughter Patricia Ann Rogers.
He is survived by: his children, James Markle (Judy) of Bruno, AR, Linda Markle of Flippin, AR and Sue Allen of Yellville, AR; and his siblings, Jerry Markle (Doris) of Lead Hill, AR and Ruby Hopper of Lead Hill, AR. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
