He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Olive and Etta McPherson Olive; his siblings, Olan Olive and Ruby Cole; and his friend Voy Bailey.

He is survived by: his wife Vacle Phillips Olive; and his sister Eula Fruchey of Paragould. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews.
