He was predeceased by: his parents, Lilburn Bowers and Pauline Mullins Johnson; his wife Peggy Johnson; his siblings, Margaret Johnson and Thurman Johnson; and his close friend Shirley Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Sanders (Marvin), Patricia Johnson, Kevin Johnson, L. B. Johnson, Pee Wee Johnson and Lloyd Johnson; and his cousin Barbara Leslie.
