He was predeceased by: his parents, John Butler and Thelma Vivian Tucker Butler; his wife Stella Stanziola of Butler; and his daughters, Marsha and Wendy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vivian Shaw (Kent) of Hot Springs, Ellen Rae Reynolds (Bill) of Humble and Texas Stella Johnson (Alan) of Wilmington. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
