He was predeceased by: his father John Emery; and his siblings, Jack Oakes, Clyde Oakes and Andrea Mooney. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Oakes; his children, Donna Leggett (Richard Leggett), Debbie Guidry, Melissa Clayborn (Keith Clayborn), Kristen Hudson (Sandy Hudson), Todd Oakes and Tanner Oakes; and his sisters, Nancy Tripp, Dorothy Richardson and Carol Oakes. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren.
