It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stella M. Higgs (Lamar, Arkansas), who passed away on May 30, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Lela Bell Cates Brown; her daughters, Donna Mildred Higgs and Rita Clarice Hutchins; her siblings, John Brown, James Brown, Edgar Cotton Brown and Maggie Smith; and her grandson Brandon Hutchins.
She is survived by: her son Gordon; her children-in-law, Kathryn Higgs of London, Mike Ramsey of Ozone and Ray Hutchins (Loretta) of Hagarville; her sister Shirley Carey (Don) of Ozone; her grandchildren, Steve Hutchins, Sandy McCarley, Michelle Frost and Jill Lange (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Corbin (Arie), Thomas, Isaac, Carter and Parker; and her great great grandchild Kennedy.
