He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Leroy and Ruth Ann Ward. He is survived by: his wife Deby Ward; his daughters, Alicia Goodin (Dawayne) and Andrea Ward; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn McNamee (Colten) and Aaron Goodin; his great grandchild Harper Rose McNamee; and his siblings, James Ward, Thomas Ward and Barbara Hayes.
