He was predeceased by: his parents, Josie Tilley and Freed Tilley of Lamar; and his siblings, Loretta Crotts, Sue Frost Hatchett, Wayne, Dwayne, Ernest, Elbert and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Evans Tilley; his children, Michael Tilley (Angela) and Loretta Young (Danny) of Hagarville; his grandchildren, Brett Young, Devan Young, Ely Young, Josie Tilley and Anna Claire Tilley; and his children, Linda, Jahilit, Keyli and Matthew. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lamar Baptist Church (300 E Main St, Lamar, AR 72846). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Instead of flowers or contributions to a fund or organization, in his memory please commit an act of kindness a few times a year; buy someone a meal; surprise a family with free groceries and/or contribute to a local food bank; provide someone a ride to and from a medical appointment; or leave a generous tip to a young, hardworking waiter.
