He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hamp and Jewel Whittington (Mitts); and his siblings, Desmond Whittington, Roy Whittington, Bobby Whittington, Laverne "Lou" Stepp and June Hallman.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Hallman; his children, Troy Lynn Whittington (Debbie) of Hamburg, AR, Tim Whittington (Carol) of Lake Village, AR, Tammie Huffman (Randall) of Hazlehurst, MS and Tera McArthur (Robert); his nephew Ronnie Whittington; his niece Marsha Barber (Kelly) of Lake Village, AR; and his siblings, Cecil Whittington (Peggy) of Little Rock, AR and Maxine DeAngelo of Bedford, TX.. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
