He was predeceased by: his parents, James Waitman and Blanche Bates Thornton; and his siblings, Jim, Pete Thornton and Billie Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Thornton; his children, Vicki Brannon (Lee Brannon) of Morrilton, AR and Teddy Thornton, Jr. of Fort Smith, AR; his siblings, Shirley Fletcher (Glen) of Lake City, AR and Don Thornton of Wichita, KS; his sister-in-law Bernice Thornton; his grandchildren, Bryan Brannon (Holli), Brett Brannon (Mallory), Teddy Thornton, III (Amber) and Hannah Thornton; his great grandchildren, Garrett, Ty, Winter and Jake Ryan; and his goddaughter Molly Hayes.
