He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bryant-Matthews and Armetta Bryant-Matthews; and his siblings, Robert Earl Matthews and Margaret Scott. He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Crawford-Matthews; his sons, Jazreel Hamner of Tuscaloosa, AL and Hamisha Hamner of Tuscaloosa, AL; and his siblings, Sammie Polite (Ella), Harry and Geneva Woods of Montrose, AR. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
