He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Boyd and Lena Boyd (Mazzanti); and his brother Joel Boyd of Little Rock, Arkansas.. He is survived by: his sisters, Amy Smith of Fayetteville and Barbara McLaughlin of Spring Lake; his brothers-in-law, Dr. Harvey Smith and Ed McLaughlin; his nieces and nephews, Ben Smith, Jocelyn Cantau (Francois), James McLaughlin, Paul McLaughlin (Jess Saar) and Frances Ann McLaughlin; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lucie, Charlotte Cantau, Gwendolynne and Charlie McLaughlin.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bishop-King Funeral Home (1831 South Highway 65 & 82, Lake Village, AR 71653). A rosary was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (314 S Lakeshore Dr, Lake Village, AR 71653).
