He is survived by: his wife Shirley Louise Gossett Hauptman; his children, Tonya Kaye Harris (JD), Sonya Gaye Ragsdale (Lee), Kimberly Diane Hauptman and Jeremy "Bear" Kane Hauptman (LaTasha); his sister Juanita Stilwell; his grandchildren, Carla Denise Hauptman, Richard Todd Pounds (Linsay), Kaylee Jolene Hauptman, Alexis Danyel O'Dell (Cody), Ethan Laine Slaughter, Carlin Wade Slaughter, Drake David and Danielle Lynn; and his great grandchildren, Evan Allen Segraves, Gage Cole Alsup and Emalynn Rose Pounds.
