With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charlene Elizabeth Britton of Lake City, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Hopkins and Bessie Hopkins; her husband Kelly Britton; and her sisters, Christene, Lucille and Evelyn.
She is survived by: her children, Stacy Britton (Sheila Major) and Tracy Butler (Bennie); her brother Everett Hopkins; her sister-in-law Paulette Brown (Allen); and her grandchildren, Taylor Emery (Charley Sipes), Jonathan Bowman (Ashley), Paige Conway (Joe), Eric Butler (Tori), Amanda Manis and Aaron Britton. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Emerson Funeral Home (1629 E Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro, AR 72401). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Lake City Cemetery (700 Lake St, Lake City, AR 72437).
